Kenya Industrial Research & Development Institute (KIRDI) is a state corporation that was established to undertake industrial research, technology, and innovation and disseminate findings that are expected to have a positive impact on national development.
KIRDI Techno center is a Vision 2030 development, located at the junction of Lusaka Road and Dunga Road In South B, Nairobi county the development offers a podium with Three levels of commercial space, showrooms, and shops, plenary and Amphitheatre with modern conferencing facilities, three adjoining but distinct towers providing modern research laboratories, grade A offices, a conference accommodation facility to the level of a 3-star hotel and secure ample parking on three basement levels.
KIRDI is probably the single biggest AV project in the East Africa Region. It consists of three main blocks – KIRDI TechnoCentre features the latest AV system install for modern collaboration.
The project involves:
Twin auditorium each with 300 seating capacity fully to be equipped with Televic Conference system
CHRISTIE HD Phosphor Projectors
RCF HD Line Arrays
WYRESTORM signal switching and distribution as well as RTI AV control systems
Over 30 meeting rooms of different sizes complete with WACEBO/SPECKTRON interactive screens and CHRISTIE projectors.
Dedicated floor for video conference/telepresence with LIFESIZE icon700 4K systems.
All meeting rooms feature CLEVERTOUCH digital signage with an additional 55’’ LED display screens within the centre.
For visitors and tenants safety- the centre incorporates RCF DXT7000 PA/BGM/Voice Evacuation system covering the whole blocks.
The accommodation wing with 140 rooms feature PLAYMORE IPTV systems in all guest rooms.
